“The Aurora African American Heritage Advisory Board (AAHAB) is inviting agencies, organizations and community members to nominate an African-American Auroran who contributes to the advancement of the African-American community. AAHAB is seeking to honor a person who exhibits leadership, volunteerism and service to the African-American community at our upcoming Scholarship Dinner in February 2015.”
On Saturday, November 15th, 2014, The Quad County African American Chamber of Commerce is holding a Business Expo in conjunction with St. John AME Church.
We have 30 black-owned businesses that with be educating attendees on their products and services.
Additionally, there are a series of workshops with something for everyone (i.e. business owners, employees, women in business and youth).
